Methodia the Righteous of Kimolos

1865 – 1908

A modern saint born in Kimolos a small island of Greece. From an early age, she had in her soul the passion for Christ. She married because she did not want to sadden her parents but continued to stay near Christ. Her husband was a sailer and one day died while out at sea. After, she became a nun. She made great fasting, and prayer with the joy and love of God. She was known among the people and many went to her for help. She was gifted with the ability to perform miracles and died peacefully at the age of 43.
